Meet Alivia – age 8, unstoppable, and on a mission.
On 28th March, Alivia will take on the HYROX Youngstars race in London, and she’ll be doing it for something bigger than medals and finish lines, she’s taking on this challenge to raise funds for Lee’s Place.
She’s training like a true superhero. Gym sessions with Mum and Dad. Park runs. Swimming club. Gymnastics squad. Determined, focused and full of heart. And at just 8 years old, she’ll be one of the youngest competitors EVER in the UK to take on this incredible challenge!
The team at Lee’s Place are cheering her on loudly, alongside her friends, family, school pals and even Mum & Dad’s workplaces. The support is building and honestly, we can see why. She’s putting in the hard work. Now it’s our turn to back her.
Why She’s Taking on this Superhero Challenge
Lee’s Place, our hot food hub in St Peter’s Square, opens its doors every single night of the week. We provide free, home-cooked meals, warmth and companionship for people experiencing homelessness or severe hardship.
For many, Lee’s Place is more than a meal. It’s safety. It’s dignity. It’s a friendly face in the cold. Especially during the winter months, when temperatures drop, loneliness deepens and other services become harder to access, the hub becomes a lifeline.
