Community Power was delighted to recently welcome Adam Hanslow-Smith from Dandelion Video Production to Herefordshire to film and document the work taking place across our organisation and community projects.

The filming focused particularly on Lee’s Place, our homelessness support project, which has become a vital source of support, compassion and connection for people experiencing homelessness and hardship across the county.

Throughout the day, Adam captured the incredible dedication of our volunteers, the welcoming atmosphere at Lee’s Place and the genuine sense of community that exists within the project. From practical support and hot meals to meaningful conversations and friendship, the filming reflected the heart of what Community Power strives to achieve every day.

The project also highlighted the wider work of Community Power, including our commitment to tackling loneliness and improving wellbeing through initiatives such as our Chatty Café and Cancer Champions programme. These services continue to make a positive difference to the lives of many people across Herefordshire and Worcestershire by creating safe, inclusive and supportive spaces within the community.

We are incredibly proud of the volunteers, supporters and partners who help make this work possible. Their compassion, commitment and willingness to support others are what truly bring Community Power to life.

A huge thank you goes to Adam Hanslow-Smith for his professionalism, warmth and ability to authentically capture the stories, people and passion behind our work. He made everyone feel comfortable throughout the filming process and took the time to understand the purpose and values behind Community Power and Lee’s Place.

We are excited to share the finished film in the near future and hope it will help raise awareness of the challenges facing vulnerable people in our communities, while also showcasing the power of kindness, collaboration and community-led support.

Thank you to everyone involved in making the day such a success.
