Community Spirit at it's best
The other week the Lee’s Place volunteer team spent the day at Sainsbury’s in Hereford raising awareness of our work and collecting food donations for our homeless guests.
We were absolutely overwhelmed by the kindness, generosity, and support shown by shoppers throughout the day. From bags of pasta, rice and biscuits to essential cupboard staples, every single donation will help us continue supporting our homeless community.
What made the day so special wasn't just the incredible amount of food donated—it was the conversations, encouragement, smiles, and genuine compassion we experienced from so many people. It was a powerful reminder of what a caring and supportive community we have here in Hereford. To everyone who stopped to chat, asked about our work, shared our message, or donated items, thank you. Your generosity will make a real difference to the people who turn to Lee’s Place for support. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the wonderful staff and management at Sainsbury's Hereford for welcoming us and helping make the day such a success.
Together, we are proving that even small acts of kindness can have a huge impact.
