It’s hard to believe that a whole year has passed since Lee’s Place first opened its doors. What started as an idea rooted in kindness, community, and the belief that everyone deserves a warm welcome has grown into something truly special and we couldn’t be more proud.
Over the past year, Lee’s Place has become so much more than a building. It has become a safe space, a place of connection, and a source of support for people who need it most. Every cup of tea shared, every hot meal served, every conversation had around our tables has helped shape Lee’s Place into the heart of the community we hoped it would be.
A Place Built on People
From day one, Lee’s Place has been about people. Our guests, who bring honesty, humour, resilience, and strength through the doors every day. Our volunteers, who generously give their time, energy, and compassion, often with a smile and without ever asking for recognition. And our supporters, partners, and donors, who believed in us before we even had a kettle plugged in.
We have been overwhelmed by the kindness shown to us. From food donations and fundraising efforts to words of encouragement and quiet acts of generosity, every contribution big or small has helped Lee’s Place grow.
What We’ve Achieved Together
In our first year, we’ve:

Looking Ahead
As we move into our second year, our commitment remains the same: to be there for our community, to listen, to support, and to keep Lee’s Place a place of warmth, dignity, and hope.
