Herefordshire Community Partnership

A key element of bringing together all partners is finding a place to find a common voice. VCFSE Alliances have been introduced across the country to enable this and Healthwatch Herefordshire launched the Hereford Community Partnership (HCP) in 2021.

This has since become a fundamental part of the ICS as it is a vibrant forum that facilitates partnership working between the public, health, and care services and VCFSE organisations.

The HCP is a platform for the involvement of local people in shaping services for the future.

The partnership has worked on topics such as the shaping of the Health & Wellbeing Strategy for the county, the Integrated Care System Strategy, call to action for volunteering in Herefordshire and shaping primary care network health inequalities.

The Partnership has been working on VCFSE representative roles ensuring that the voice of local people and the community sector is heard at a strategic level in all the focus areas. This includes the voices of people experiencing inequality and seldom heard.

Our VCFSE Alliance now forms part of a network of Alliances across the country. There are 42 in total, representing each of the different ICS footprints. We are delighted to be working with the communities of Herefordshire and hope to represent these views at a local, regional and national level.
